Sculpture Portraits
I was trained as a sculptor and spent many years carving wood and stone, nearly always abstract forms, but over the past few years I have started to focus on the head in particular. Once again, I tend to sculpt people I know well, people who are comfortable with me, but I have had a few commissions where I haven't met the sitter beforehand and in these cases I tend to do some quick studies in pen and take lots of photographs.
